Sue is Coming to Town!

Just in time for
Evolution Sunday, Sue is coming to the Gray Fossil Site in Gray. Here is the article in the Johnson City Press.

One giant, heavy puzzle is coming together at the Gray Fossil Site this week. A 3,500-pound plaster cast of Sue, the largest and most complete Tyrannosaurus rex fossil on record, arrived at the site’s museum on Monday for a three-month exhibit that will open Saturday.
We are going to make a day of it on Sunday, February 10th as part of Evolution Weekend. After worship, we will take a field trip to the
Gray Fossil Site to pay our respects to Sue and check out all the other activities.

So, if you are in the neighborhood plan to join us on February 10th!

  1. John,

Such fun for Evolution Sunday. I think the best I can do is have a member bring in some dino poop he's collected from his former job site!

I think I'm going to do something a bit different this year and focus on the environment and hopefully hand out CFL bulbs to attendees!

  2. Maybe the dino can tell us what he thinks of evolution?

  3. I wonder if Jesus rode around on Sue after he came to America.

  4. Bob--Dino poop is not a bad attraction. Work it!

Bill--We'll have ways of making her talk.

    Monkey--Actually, I have a photo...see my next post.
