Should You Vote for Ron Paul?

Blogthings likes Ron Paul. I took their latest quiz. The questions were pieces of cake. Anyone is bound to get four of the six. The intro to the quiz reads: Ron Paul is one of the most popular presidential candidates online. Should you vote for him in 2008? Take the quiz!

You Should Probably Vote for Ron Paul

You agree with Ron Paul on most of the major issues. If you haven't looked into him yet, you probably should.

How you agree with Ron Paul:

You and Ron Paul agree that it's time to bring the troops home from Iraq.

You and Ron Paul agree that it's time to end the War on Drugs.

You and Ron Paul agree that it's time to repeal the Patriot Act.

You and Ron Paul agree that the US Constitution has no business defining marriage as "between one man and one woman."

How you disagree with Ron Paul:

You and Ron Paul disagree on the income tax. You support keeping the IRS and the income tax.

You and Ron Paul disagree on the role of government. You don't think the government is too big.

It probably helps that Ron Paul advertises on Blogthings!

Of course then again, I took this quiz...

You are 77% Non-Conformist

You are a pretty serious non conformist. You live a life hardly anyone understands.

And while some may call you a freak, you're happy with who you are.

But I didn't take this one: Who's Your Celebrity Boob Twin?

  1. Somehow (and without cheating) I came out at 77% as well. Great minds think alike (and deviants wallow in the mud together as well I guess ;-) ). Thanks for the link and keep up the good non-comformity.

  2. Damn Paulites, they even have a 14-year old conforming: The Ron Paul Kid

  3. I came out as 65% nonconformist and (surprise surprise) I'm told that I should express my nonconformity by following a group of Ron Paul supporters.

Incidentally, while the questions were laughably stilted, I did have these disagreements with Congressman Paul:

You and Ron Paul disagree on the income tax. You support keeping the IRS and the income tax.

You and Ron Paul disagree on the role of government. You don't think the government is too big.

Just those teensy things? Well golly gee whilikers, I guess he's an FDR Liberal after all!

  4. This gets funnier the more I look at it.

If I pick all the "non-Paul" responses, the website tells me "You Probably Shouldn't Vote for Ron Paul" and turns yellow.

If I pick just one "Paul" position (say, the IRS thing or the "Big Gummint" thing--not inconsistent with the stated positions of say Romney or Giuliani), the picture upgrades to green and tells me "You Should Consider Voting for Ron Paul!"
